Safety & privacy

Clear limits are part of the product.

Bolus Master is being developed as a personal calculation, logging, reminder, and retrospective review tool. The public site states the current boundary plainly.

What it supports

Applying insulin settings and context entered by the user

Showing the mathematical components of an estimate

Recording the amount and events the user reports

Providing user-selected timers and reminders

Organizing available records for later personal review

What it does not do

Administer insulin or confirm that insulin was taken

Diagnose, prescribe treatment, or replace professional care

Automatically change a user’s insulin settings

Guarantee that a reminder action occurred

Prove that an observed association caused an outcome

Information boundaries

Public information is separate from private app data.

Reading this website does not require an account or health information. Signed-in app records and integrations are not displayed on these public pages.

Public website

Explains the product and review program. It does not display account settings, History, IOB, CGM records, or connected-service credentials.

Signed-in account

Account-backed settings and dose History are associated with the authenticated user. Access to the app requires sign-in.

Device-local state

Active timers, browser-notification permission, certain drafts, and similar device-specific state remain on the device by design.

Urgent situations

Do not rely on the app during an emergency.

For severe hypoglycemia, suspected diabetic ketoacidosis, severe vomiting or dehydration, altered consciousness, breathing difficulty, or another urgent symptom, stop using the calculator and follow the established emergency or sick-day plan. Seek urgent medical help as appropriate.

Privacy work continues before broader testing.

Controlled access now uses named invitations, a versioned beta agreement and privacy notice, individual expiration and revocation controls, and data-minimized access requests. Structured issue tracking and evidence handling will be introduced separately before the review cohort expands.
